Saurashtra in strong position with centuries from Arpit, Harwick

Arpit Vasavada (127 not out) and Harvik Desai (107) scored centuries as Saurashtra posted 503 for six against Delhi on the second day of their Ranji Trophy Group B match on Wednesday. At the end of the second day’s play, Saurashtra were 370 runs ahead of Delhi’s 133 runs in the first innings. They will be eyeing a bonus point by winning by an innings margin. Saurashtra batsmen beat Delhi’s inexperienced bowlers in the desired manner. Desai could only add three runs to his yesterday’s score.

Chirag Jani also lost his wicket on 75, who played 177 balls for this innings. Arpit and Samarth Vyas shared a 99-run partnership. Vyas got out after scoring 54 runs. Delhi bowlers gave 319 runs on the second day and took only five wickets. In another match at Vizianagaram, Hyderabad made 197 in reply to Andhra’s 135. At the end of the second day, Andhra had scored 230 runs for three wickets in the second innings. Maharashtra scored 307 for two in reply to Assam’s 274 at Ambi. Siddhesh Veer is playing on 94 and Kedar Jadhav is scoring 142 runs. In reply to Tamil Nadu’s 144 in Mumbai, Mumbai scored 481 with the help of Sarfaraz Khan’s 162. Tamil Nadu scored 62 runs for one wicket in the second innings.
