Sasaram. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who went out on a campaign to take the mantra of ‘development without social reforms’ to the people, today bluntly said that no person would be allowed to come to the state who would drink alcohol. If you want to drink alcohol, then don’t come to Bihar.
Addressing a public meeting after inaugurating the social reform campaign for complete de-addiction, eradication of dowry system and child marriage in Bihar at New Stadium Fazalganj here on Monday, Mr. Kumar said, “Many people say that tourists are not Bihar because of prohibition. Will. People who mess around keep on making nonsense statements. We will not allow any person who wants to drink liquor to come to Bihar. Don’t come to Bihar if you want to drink alcohol.
The Chief Minister said that there was a slight decrease in the number of tourists during the Corona period, but after the prohibition of liquor, more than two crore tourists have come to Bihar. He said that Bapu’s words should be accepted by all. His message is being publicized everywhere. Bapu had said that alcohol destroys not only a man’s money but also his intellect. A person who drinks alcohol becomes savage. If I am made the dictator of the country even for an hour, then I will get all the liquor shops closed.
Shri Kumar said that there are some people who are doing disturbances in the society, irrespective of the religion they belong to. No matter how good work you do, some people will make a mistake, but we have to keep running the campaign. We have asked for a report on how many people have been acted upon. We are running a campaign for four districts here, this is a border area. I was called to many states regarding prohibition of liquor. There is a lot of awareness in this area. Care needs to be taken to ensure that no one messes up.
The Chief Minister said that if you drink alcohol then you are against Bapu. Some people who drink alcohol consider themselves more capable but they are not capable. No matter how educated they are and if they drink alcohol, then we do not consider them capable. Such people are against the ideas of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. It is against the interest of the society. He said that he has nothing to do with any publicity. Some people use different tactics to get publicity. If journalist friends sometimes write on paper, even on Twitter, then it will have a big impact in the society. There should be a feeling of love and brotherhood among themselves, only then the society will progress. Different types of things keep happening, so keep mutual solidarity, we will move forward and the society will also move forward.
