Two more medals for India in ISSF World Championship

India won two more medals at the ISSF World Championships here on Sunday. The women’s 25m pistol team won the silver while the men’s 50m rifle three positions team won the bronze. India finished their campaign in the championship with two quotas for the Paris 2024 Olympics. The team got 12 gold, nine silver and 13 bronze medals from this World Championship. The women’s trio of Rhythm Sangwan, Manu Bhaker and Abhidanya Ashok Patil made the 25m pistol team sixth with 873 points in the qualification stage.

The team finished second behind China in the second leg. In the final, however, the Chinese team defeated the Indian team 16-0. In men’s 3P, Aishwarya Tomar, Swapnil Kusale and Neeraj Kumar topped the opening qualification stage with a combined score of 1324. The team finished fourth in the second stage with a total of 873 points. However, he defeated America 17-15 in the bronze medal match through a shoot-out.
