AIFF announces probables for women’s football Olympic qualifiers

New Delhi. The All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Monday announced 34 players who will take part in the national camp to select the squad for the second round of this year’s AFC Women’s Olympic Qualifiers. Indian women’s football team beat Kyrgyzstan 5-0 and 4-0 to enter the second round of the Olympic qualifiers.

India will take on Japan on October 26, Vietnam on October 29 and hosts Uzbekistan on October 1 in Group C of the AFC Women’s Olympic Qualifiers to be held in Tashkent.The camp will start from July 30 in Bhubaneswar. The potential players are as follows.

Goalkeepers: Soumya Narayanasamy, Meibam Linthoingambi Devi, Shreya Hooda. Defenders: Loitongbam Ashalata Devi, Ngangbam Sweety Devi, Sanju, Ritu Rani, Sorokhaibam Ranjana Chanu, Michelle Margaret Castanha, Dalima Chhibber, Manisha Panna, Astam Oraon, Julie Kishan, Silky Devi, Jabamani Tudu. Midfielders: Priyangka Devi, Anju Tamang, Indumati Kathiresan, Sangeeta Basfour, Kajol Hubert D’Souza, Asim Roja Devi, Karthika Angamuthu. Forwards: Dengmei Grace, Soumya Guguloth, Manisha Kalyan, Acompura Narjar, Neha, Sumati Kumari, Renu, Karishma Purushottam Shirwoikar, Sandhya Ranganathan, Pyari Shasha, Jyoti, Ngangom Bala Devi.
