Talented Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batsman Rinku Singh on Wednesday attributed his good form to hard work at the franchise’s academy in Mumbai. Rinku has emerged as KKR’s go-to finisher with impressive performances against Gujarat Titans and again against Punjab Kings in the last match. Rinku said, “My hard work at the academy is paying off. We had an off-season camp and I have worked hard and improved a lot.
Rinku, who hit the headlines for hitting five sixes in the last over against Gujarat Titans, said, “I just play normal shots and practice hard for the death overs according to my batting order at the KKR academy.” The one-year-old batsman said, “I just try to keep it simple and play simple shots. I think if I try to do anything extra, it will affect my batting. It is just about playing according to the merits of the ball.
