New Delhi. In the third wave of corona virus, the number of infected is increasing and the rate of infection is also increasing rapidly. On Sunday, the infection rate in the country increased to 10.21 percent, which was less than one percent a month ago. In the capital Delhi, the rate of infection increased to 24 percent on Sunday. There was a record increase in the number of patients in the election state of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. 7,695 new patients were found in the state. A day earlier on Saturday, 6,411 patients were found.

In the country’s capital Delhi, the number of infected people found in 24 hours reached above 22 thousand. On Sunday, 22,751 new cases were found in Delhi, the infection rate reached close to 24 percent. After about eight months, such a large number of infected have been found in the state and the rate of infection has gone so high. In the last 24 hours, 17 patients died in the capital. So many patients died in the last three months of last year.

12 thousand new cases were found in Karnataka on Sunday, out of which more than nine thousand cases were from Bengaluru. In West Bengal, 18,802 new cases were found in 24 hours, while 18,213 patients were found on Friday. On Sunday, 6,238 new cases were found in Kerala and 30 patients died. On Sunday, 3,922 new patients were found in Punjab and nine patients died. 12,895 new patients were found in Tamil Nadu and 12 patients died.

In West Bengal, 24,287 new cases were found in 24 hours and 18 patients died. The infection rate in the state has reached 34 percent. On Sunday, 6,275 new patients were found in Gujarat. 5,660 new cases were found in Rajasthan and one patient died. In the second election state of Uttarakhand, the number of new patients stood at 1,413 on Sunday. For the third consecutive day on Saturday, more than one lakh active cases increased and the number of active cases reached close to seven and a half lakhs.
