263 runs in Australia’s first innings
Batting first after winning the toss, Usman Khawaja (81 runs) and Peter Handscomb (72 not out) scored 263 runs in the first innings on the first day of the second Test cricket match against India here on Friday. For India, fast bowler Mohammed Shami took four wickets while spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets each. Apart from Khawaja and Handscomb, captain Pat Cummins contributed 33 runs for Australia.
