IND vs Aus 2nd Test: Ravindra Jadeja, the world’s number one all-rounder, made this new record in Delhi

India’s all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is in excellent form. Actually, the second Test match between India and Australia under the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is being played in Delhi. Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. The Indian bowlers bowled Australia all out on a score of 263 runs. Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets for 68 runs. With this, Ravindra Jadeja has become the fastest Indian bowler to score 2500 runs and take 250 wickets in Test cricket. There he became the second player of the world.

 

Ravindra Jadeja has established this record by dismissing Australian batsman Usman Khawaja. Ian Botham is the first to reach this point before Ravindra Jadeja. Ian Botham played 55 Test matches to achieve this feat while Ravindra Jadeja did it in 62 matches. India’s star all-rounder has achieved the feat in Test cricket only after Kapil Dev, Anil Kumble and R Ashwin. He has become the fifth Indian to do so. At the same time, Ravichandran Ashwin has also made a new record today. He has completed his 100 wickets in Test cricket against Australia. He has become the second Indian bowler to do so. Anil Kumble’s name comes to the fore in taking the most wickets against Australia.

 

Batting first after winning the toss, Usman Khawaja (81 runs) and Peter Handscomb (72 not out) scored 263 runs in the first innings on the first day of the second Test cricket match against India here on Friday. For India, fast bowler Mohammed Shami took four wickets while spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets each. Apart from Khawaja and Handscomb, captain Pat Cummins contributed 33 runs for Australia.
