It was expected that he would get a chance to play in the series against Sri Lanka and Australia this year but he was kept out of the team.

 

Significantly, Jasprit Bumrah plays for Mumbai Indians in IPL. In IPL 2022, Jasprit Bumrah bowled for Mumbai Indians in 14 matches. During this, a total of 15 wickets were taken at an average of 25.53. At the same time, the absence of an important player in the team in the tournament can be very heavy for the team. Even before this, Jasprit Bumrah did not get the fitness certificate from the National Cricket Academy, due to which he could not join the team against Australia.
