French Open 2023: Novak praised Carlos’ hit ‘Shot of the Tournament’ in the semi-finals

A great match was played between Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz in the French Open men’s singles semi-finals. In this match, Novak Djokovic defeated Carlos 3-6 7-5 1-6 1-6 and succeeded in reaching the final match.
 
During the semi-final match, Carlos Alcaraz played such wonderful shots of tennis on the Philippe Chatrier court in Roland Garros (Paris) on Friday, which was not only liked by tennis lovers but also surprised Novak Djokovic himself. Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz got off to a bad start and lost the first set 3-6. However, Alcaraz made a strong comeback in the second set and won 7-5 against Djokovic.
 
In the third set of the semi-final match, world no. 1 started strong, but soon suffered cramps and had to miss the entire game due to treatment. Soon, the 20-year-old was down 1-6, followed by a 1-6 loss in the fourth set. The defending US Open champion Alcaraz showed some good combination of shots which stunned even Djokovic.
 
The competition was not easy for Novak
Let us tell you that Alcaraz may have suffered a sprain during this match, but he showed a strong game during this too. Not only this, Serbian player Novak had to work hard for every point till the third set. Although Alcaraz’s poor fitness also gave Novak an advantage. Alcaraz showed his prowess in the second set, leveling the score at 1-1. Serving in the third game, Alcaraz received a straight forehand return, which he answered accurately.
 
During this Djokovic returned, followed by an Alcazar backhand, followed by the Serbian pulling the youngster close to the net. Once again served from Alcaraz, Djokovic hit it high out of reach of the Spaniard. But Alcaraz ran back and turned to shoot for a point. This shot was so spectacular that Djokovic himself raised his hands to applaud after the match.
