Hockey India asks state units to ensure compliance of policies at district level

New Delhi. To ensure more effective implementation of its projects and policies for the development of hockey, Hockey India will expand its ‘Member Unit Portal’ to include information on district units. Former Indian captain and Hockey India president Dilip Tirkey said their aim was to promote good governance in all parts. Hockey India has asked its member units to complete the paperwork of the district units and upload the same on the member unit portal so that the national body can track their progress.

Tirkey said in a statement released on Sunday, “The move to include districts in the member unit portal highlights Hockey India’s commitment towards promoting hockey at the grassroots level. Our aim is to ensure that we collect information about all the districts of India to ensure the overall development of the game.
