On the other hand, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh says that he is ready to hang himself if the allegations are proved. Addressing a public meeting in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, he said that if the agitating wrestlers have any evidence, why don’t they give it to the court or the police. He said that it has been 4 months that he wants my hanging but the government is not hanging me, so he (the wrestler) is going to throw his medal in the Ganges. Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh said that Brij Bhushan will not be hanged by those who accuse me of throwing medals in the Ganges. If you have proof then give it to the court and if the court hangs me then I accept that.
On the other hand, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has appealed to the protesting wrestlers to allow the investigation to be completed, saying that you will have to trust the Supreme Court, the police and the sports department. He said that we also want that there should be a fair inquiry into what the players have raised and appropriate action should be taken after the inquiry.
