Deepak, Nishant in quarterfinals of World Championship

Indian boxers Deepak Bhoria (51kg) and Nishant Dev (71kg) registered impressive victories to enter the quarterfinals of the men’s World Championships. Maintaining his impressive run in the tournament, Deepak defeated Zhang Jiamao of China by 5. beat by 0. Whereas Nishant defeated Fokaha Nidal of Palestine in the first round on the basis of RSC (stoppage of match by referee). Deepak was chosen over world championship silver medalist Amit Panghal and he did not disappoint. Besides Nishant and Deepak, Mohammed Hasamuddin (57kg) is also just one win away from a medal. Hassamuddin will take on Bulgaria’s Jay Diaz Ibanez in the quarterfinals.
