According to a report in India Today, the man behind the idea, Anand Chokse, was always inclined towards the idea of ​​the Taj Mahal and wondered why it was not built in his city. It took three years to build this replica

This thought inspired him to do so. His 4-bedroom house is an exact copy of the Taj Mahal. Chokse studied the original Taj Mahal very closely. The replica of the iconic monument took three years to build and faced many challenges in the construction, revealed the engineer who built it. During the construction process, the Burhanpur resident sought help from artists from Bengal and Indore for the carvings inside the house.

Reports revealed that the dome of the house is 29 feet in height and even has towers like the Taj Mahal. Also the floor of this replica house is made from ‘Makrana’ of Rajasthan, while the furniture has been prepared by the artisans of Mumbai. The house consists of a large hall, two bedrooms downstairs, two bedrooms upstairs, a library and a meditation hall.
