Nahitan Nández was denounced by his ex-partner for gender violence and the Uruguayan justice requested his arrest

The former Boca footballer traveled to Italy shortly before the police came to look for him at his home.

The Uruguayan Prosecutor’s Office requested the arrest of soccer player Nahitan Nández after he was denounced for gender violence.

This was reported this Friday by the local media Teledoce and confirmed by Efe with sources from the Prosecutor’s Office.

The complaint against Nández, former Boca and current Cagliari of Italy, is for “domestic, psychological and patrimonial violence” and was presented by his ex-partner.

For this reason, the Maldonado Department Prosecutor’s Office requested an arrest warrant against the 26-year-old soccer player.

However, this could not be carried out because the Cagliari player left the country this Thursday, so he will have to respond when he returns to Uruguay.

“It is verified by Migrations where the person in question actually left the country yesterday, at 4:44 pm through the Punta del Este airport on a private flight,” the police report details.

Nández is one of the regular starters of the Uruguayan National Team in which he debuted in 2015. In fact, he has already defended La Celeste in two Copa América and in a World Cup.
