Suryakumar Yadav captures ICC T20 Ranking, remains on top, can break records
Dubai. India’s fiery batsman Suryakumar Yadav continued to top the latest T20 International batting rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday. An inning of 47 runs in the first match of the ongoing T20 International series against New Zealand in Ranchi had taken him to 910 rating points but he scored an unbeaten 26 in the second match of the series to see his rating drop to 908.
Can break Malan’s record
Suryakumar is also very close to England batsman David Malan’s record for the all-time best rating points among male T20 International batsmen. Malan scored 915 points in Cape Town in 2020. Suryakumar is second in the all-time list of highest rating points among T20 International batsmen. Last year, Suryakumar reached the top of the T20 rankings after scoring 239 runs in six matches in the T20 World Cup.
If Suryakumar Yadav performs brilliantly in the T20 match to be held in Ahmedabad, then his rating can improve. If Suryakumar scores 916 rating points, he will break David Malan’s record.
