Apart from England, the West Indies team has won the T20 World Cup title twice. England won the title in 2010 by defeating Australia in the final. However, chasing the target of 138 runs, the start of the England team was not good. The hero of the last match, Alex Hales, fell victim to Shaheen Afridi on the score of 1 run today. Later on, captain Jos Buttler played some excellent stoke. But he too became a victim of Harish Rauf. Ben Stokes, who came out to bat at number four, once again proved to be very important for England. Ben Stokes, who played a key role in making England the winner in the 2019 50-over World Cup, still played a brilliant innings to win his team. Ben Stokes held a throw even under pressure and eventually returned only to make the team world champions.
Ben Stokes scored 52 runs in 49 balls which included 5 fours and 1 six. Shaheen Afridi’s injury was also the biggest blow for Pakistan during the match. Shaheen Afridi was injured while trying to take a catch. However, the bowlers of Pakistan, bowling brilliantly and well, had brought England on the back foot at one point of time. Despite this, England has succeeded in winning this match. Earlier, England’s left-arm pacer Sam Curran and leg-spinner Adil Rashid put the Pakistani batting lineup under so much pressure that the rivals could manage only 137 for eight in the T20 World Cup final on Sunday. Karan, who made a comeback from injury earlier this year, has been a fine bowler for England and proved his mettle in the big game with three wickets for 12 runs in his four overs.

On the other hand, Rashid did not lag behind, he controlled the run-rate in the middle overs in which he and Karan together bowled 25 dot balls. Rashid again showed with his brilliant effort how the Indian team management missed an opportunity by not using Yuzvendra Chahal throughout the tournament. The MCG pitch has plenty of bounce and pace but Buttler’s best performing bowling pair (Karan and Rashid) bowled the opposite, both reducing the pace of their deliveries. Rashid bowled at 75 kmph while Karan bowled at 126 to 130 kmph, making it difficult for the Pakistani batsmen to add runs. Babar Azam (32 off 28 balls) and Mohammad Rizwan (15 off 14 balls) made cautious starts as they have been doing for the past one year. Karan has been the most consistent bowler for England throughout the tournament, bowling Rizwan at full length taking an angle.
