Hockey World Cup 2023 begins colorfully, spectacular performances win hearts of fans

The FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 is off to a great start. The opening ceremony of the Hockey World Cup has been organized at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, Odisha. In this inauguration ceremony, eminent personalities of the country and the world presented through their music and dance. Bollywood superstars Ranveer Singh and Disha Patani performed in front of a packed stadium with seating for over 40,000 spectators.

 

Arrangements have been made for spectators to watch the opening ceremony at Barabati Stadium. Apart from this, large LED screens have been installed in 16 Hockey Fan Parks so that the spectators can watch the live streaming of the ceremony outside the stadium. On these LED screens, the audience watched the opening ceremony with great fanfare.

 

During this, Bollywood music composer Pritam sang the official song of Hockey World Cup 2023, Hockey Hai Dil Mera, which has been composed by him. Pritam sang this song on stage along with 11 other singers.

 

Apart from Pritam, the audience also got a chance to groove to the musical style of K-pop band: Black Swan at the event. In this, local Odisha singer Shreya Lenka also gave a tremendous performance. Apart from this, singers Beni Dayal and Neeti Mohan also gave a powerful performance in the program, on whose music the audience danced fiercely.

 

Let us tell you that the 15th edition of FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup has started. The first match of the World Cup will be played on January 13 at the newly constructed Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
