Sharma, who was recently reinstated by the BCCI after being dropped following India’s performance in the T20 World Cup in Australia, was seen attacking players like Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah during the sting operation. During Zee News’ sting, Sharma allegedly revealed internal discussions with head coach Rahul Dravid and Virat Kohli.
Sharma claimed that despite being 80 to 85 per cent fit, many players take injections to return to competitive cricket. The former India pacer also claimed that he and the team management disagreed over Bumrah’s return from a stress fracture for the September T20I series against Australia. Sharma also claimed that there was an ego clash between former captain Kohli and former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly.
Chetan Sharma also spoke at length about the rift between Sourav Ganguly and Virat Kohli. Chetan alleged that Kohli wanted to defame the then BCCI president as he felt that Ganguly had a role in his removal as India captain in the white-ball format. However, Chetan said Kohli’s move backfired.
