Saurashtra’s victory in Ranji Trophy, captain Jaydev Unadkat dedicated the victory to the captain of the Indian team

Kolkata. Saurashtra captain Jaydev Unadkat on Sunday dedicated his team’s Ranji Trophy win to India legend Cheteshwar Pujara, terming him as his favorite son on the field. Pujara, playing his 100th Test, scored the winning run in the second Test against Australia in Delhi. Unadkat said after the nine-wicket win against Bengal, “Like I said earlier this victory will be dedicated to Chintu (Pujara’s nickname), one of Saurashtra’s dear sons. He was playing his 100th Test match in India vs Australia match in Delhi but he was equally keen on Ranji and sending us his best wishes. ,

In the last three years, Saurashtra won three titles in different formats under the leadership of Unadkat. He also won the Ranji Trophy in 2020 and the Vijay Hazare Trophy in December last year. He said, “This victory was necessary to prove our dominance. It was necessary to show that this decade belongs to Saurashtra. Three titles in three years shows that we did many things well. I am really proud of what this team has achieved.
