New Delhi. The process of reduction in new cases of corona virus infection continues. Even after the festivals, the number of infected is decreasing in most of the states of the country. According to government data till Monday morning, in the last 24 hours 8,488 new cases were reported. This is the lowest number found in 24 hours after 8 June 2020. Significantly, in June last year, the first wave of corona had started and was moving towards the peak.

According to the data updated on the website of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday morning, the number of active patients in India has come down to one lakh 18 thousand. This is also the lowest figure for more than a year and a half. According to government data, 249 more people died due to infection in the last 24 hours, after which the death toll increased to four lakh 65 thousand 911.

The daily cases of Kovid-19 in the country for 45 consecutive days are less than 20 thousand. In the last 24 hours, there has been a decrease in the number of active cases of Kovid-19 by 4,271. The national recovery rate of patients i.e. recovery rate is 98.31 percent, which is the highest since March 2020. According to government data, the daily infection rate has been recorded at 1.08 percent. The infection rate has been less than two percent for the last 49 days. The weekly infection rate was recorded at 0.93 percent.
