Green said, will do everything possible to stay fit till Test series in India

Injured Australia all-rounder Cameron Green says he will do his best to be fit for the four-Test series against India starting early February next year as it will be a very important tour. The 23-year-old Green, who was sold for the second highest price in the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, got injured during the second Test against South Africa. He has injured his finger due to which he will not be able to play in the third and final Test match in Sydney.

Green, however, wants to be fit as soon as possible for the “mentally and physically” challenging tour of India. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is crucial for both India and Australia to make it to the final of the World Test Championship and Green said he does not want to miss out on such an important series. Green said, “It is really hurting that I will not be able to play (in the last Test against South Africa in Sydney).

I have played every match since making my debut and it will be a bit strange to watch Test cricket sitting at home. Bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 17.5 crore in the IPL auction, Green is now eyeing the Indian series.

According to Cricket Australia, Green said, “The atmosphere in the Australian dressing room is fantastic and I will definitely miss it.” I will do everything possible from my side to be fully fit for the tour of India. It gets tough. This will be a very important tour for us. We’re gearing up for it as always, so I’m really excited about this tour.
