Shapovalov’s challenge in front of Djokovic in Adelaide quarter-finals
Adelaide. Top seed Novak Djokovic has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Adelaide International tennis tournament, where he will face Denis Shapovalov. Djokovic defeated Quentin Hallis 7-6, 7-6 on Thursday. Canada’s Shapovalov defeated Roman Safiulin in straight sets 6-4, 6-3.

Djokovic and other top players are playing in the event to prepare for the Australian Open starting on January 16. The 21-time Grand Slam champion was deported from Australia last year ahead of the Australian Open for not getting vaccinated for COVID-19.
