Manchester. Brazil international Casemiro scored twice as Manchester United beat Reading 3-1 in the FA Cup football tournament. Casemiro scored twice in the space of four minutes in the second half as United progressed to the fifth round.

United had earlier on Wednesday taken a strong step towards a place in the final of the League Cup after beating Nottingham Forest 3-0 in the semi-final first leg. Leeds, Leicester and Southampton also progressed in the FA Cup. Leeds beat Accrington Stanley 3–1, Leicester beat Walsall 1–0 and Southampton beat Blackpool 2–1.
