T20 World Cup: 11 year old boy bowled for Rohit

It was a memorable moment for 11-year-old Darsheel Chauhan, a young cricket lover, when he got a chance to bowl to skipper Rohit Sharma during India’s practice session ahead of the T20 World Cup. During the morning session several children were present at the WACA grounds, including Darsheel. He impressed everyone with his bowling action and when the Indian team arrived for the afternoon practice session, captain Rohit Sharma called him to bowl at the nets.

In a video released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Indian team analyst Hariprasad Mohan said, “We were at WACA for a practice session in the afternoon and the kids were finishing their morning session. We saw around 100 kids playing cricket from our dressing room. One of these kids caught everyone’s attention especially Rohit.

He said, “Everyone was impressed by his run up and natural talent.He was constantly troubling the batsman. Rohit called him to bowl at the nets.” Darsheel was also called into the team’s dressing room and spent some time with the coaches and other members as well. Darsheel is a left arm fast bowler. He told that his favorite ball is the inswing yorker and he also likes to do outswings. After the net session, Rohit said to Darsheel, “If you live here in Perth, then how will you be able to play for India?” To this Darsheel said, “When I feel that I am playing very well, I will go to India. will come.
