The third match of this series was played in Indore where the match ended in 3 days and the Indian team got a disappointing defeat. Australia has made a great comeback forgetting the last two defeats and defeated India by 9 wickets. But you will be surprised to know that India has got caught in its own trap. Not only this, after the defeat in the Indore Test, India may have to wait a little longer to reach the final of the World Test Championship.

The turning track became the biggest reason for India’s defeat. In India, turning tracks were also built in Nagpur and Delhi so that Australian batsmen could be trapped due to spin bowling. But this bet of Team India backfired in Indore. Australia’s two spinners, especially Nathan Lyon, put the Indian team in Lanka.
Talking about other reasons for the defeat, the top order of Team India flopped badly. Be it captain Rohit Sharma or veteran batsman Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill who was included in this match in place of KL Rahul or Shreyas Iyer, all were seen struggling on the Indore pitch. The batsmen failed in both the innings.
The middle also played an important role in India’s poor performance, due to which the batsmen looked quite helpless. Batting on this pitch has been quite a struggle. Batsmen like Usman Khawaja and Cheteshwar Pujara have brought life to the way of batting on this pitch by scoring half-centuries here and there.

Apart from this, India’s spin attack failed completely. Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Akshar Patel could not show any wonder. Where the Australian spin bowlers were troubling the Indian batsmen tremendously, the Australian batsmen were playing the Indian bowlers easily.
