I hope to be cleared to play in IPL in next few days: Livingstone

England batsman Liam Livingstone is hopeful of getting fitness clearance from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) by this weekend to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Livingstone was injured during his Test debut in Pakistan four months ago. He suffered a knee injury due to which he could not play competitive cricket thereafter. Meanwhile, his ankle injury from last year also came to the fore.

It is certain that he will not be able to play in the Punjab Kings match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 9. Punjab Kings have to play their next match on 13th April. “I’m getting to that point now,” Livingstone told LanceTV. The last two months have been very difficult but finally now I am very excited to play cricket like a small child. “He said,” Hopefully within the next two days I will get approval to go there. I can’t wait to play and hope to finally get the approval in the next 48 hours.
