PM Modi also laid the foundation stone of Dhaulasiddh Hydro Power Project. This will be the first hydroelectric project of Hamirpur district. The 66 MW project will be constructed at a cost of over Rs 680 crore.

Generation of hydroelectric projects of more than 300 million units per year

This will generate more than 300 million units of electricity per year. The Prime Minister inaugurated the Sawara-Kuddu Hydroelectric Project. The 111 MW project has been constructed at a cost of about Rs 2,080 crore. This will generate more than 380 million units of electricity per year and will help the state generate revenue of more than Rs 120 crore annually. Himachal Pradesh is a special category state. Accordingly, it is entitled to financial assistance from the Center in the ratio of 90 percent grant and 10 percent loan, unlike non-special category states, which get central assistance in the ratio of 30 percent grant and 70 percent loan.
