PCB chief Najam Sethi again furious over Asia Cup 2023, now targets Jay Shah

The schedule for the year 2023 has been released by the Asian Cricket Council. With the release of this schedule, the dates of the Asia Cup have also come to the fore. Jai Shah has also shared the schedule of Asia Cup on Twitter. According to this schedule, Asia Cup 2023 will be organized in the month of September.

On the other hand, mentioning the schedule of Asia Cup 2023 by Jai Shah has not gone unnoticed by Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Najam Sethi. He has now attacked the BCCI secretary for tweeting the schedule by Jay Shah. Najam Sethi tweeted that thanks to Jay Shah for unilaterally presenting the ACC structure and calendar 2023-24. Especially the Asia Cup 2023 which is organized by Pakistan. When you are done with it, you can also introduce the structure and schedule of PSL 2023.

In this matter, Najam Shah says that Jai Shah has shared the Asia Cup schedule without any consultation. Neither there has been any talk with PCB CEO Faisal Hasnain in this regard, nor have I received any email as the PCB chairman. He taunted that the schedule of PSL should also be announced there itself.

There has already been an uproar over India’s participation in the Asia Cup. India has already expressed its desire not to send its team to Pakistan due to poor relations. BCCI secretary Jay Shah has already said that the Indian team will not tour Pakistan for the Asia Cup. At the same time, PCB Chief Rameez Raza had said that if the Indian team does not come to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, then the Pakistani cricket team will also not visit India for the World Cup 2023 to be held in India.

On this matter, Raza says that the hosting of Asia Cup to Pakistan has been taken up by the Board of Directors of ACC. Pakistan has no fundamental role in this. At the same time, Jai Shah had suggested that the team will participate in this tournament only if the Asia Cup is held in UAE during 2023 at some other venue than India. On the other hand, on the matter of shifting the tournament venue, the Pakistan Cricket Board said that a decision cannot be taken in this regard.
