Chief IAS officer of Covin platform, Dr. RS Sharma said that like normal vaccination, registration will be done on the Kovin app for children’s vaccine as well. He said that the 10th class identity card will also be considered as a valid identity card for registration. This has been done because some students will not have Aadhar card or any other identity card.

At present, only 15 to 18 year old children will be given the corona vaccine in the country. The government has not taken a decision on the vaccination of children below that age. Earlier, the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) had approved Bharat Biotech’s Covaccine for emergency use for children in the age group of 12 to 18 years, but the government has decided to start the vaccination only for children between the ages of 15 and 18. has done. DCGI has also approved Zydus Cadila vaccine for children.

However, the number of children between the ages of 15 and 18 in the country is close to 100 million. The government is trying to introduce the first dose of the vaccine to these children as soon as possible. Apart from children, the government is also going to impose precaution doses from January 10. In this regard, Dr. RS Sharma told that if you are 60 years old and have taken both the doses, then the difference between the second dose and the day you are registering is more than nine months, then you are eligible.
