Kakamigahara. The Indian junior women’s hockey team beat Chinese Taipei 11-1 in their last pool match. 0 to enter the semi-finals of the Asia Cup. With this win, India continues to top Pool A. India remained unbeaten in the tournament with three wins and one draw. Vaishnavi Vitthal Phalke (1st minute), Deepika (3rd), Annu (10th and 52nd), Rutuja Dadosa Pisal (12th), Neelam (19th), Manju Chaurasia (33rd), Sunelita Toppo (43rd and 57th), Dipika Soreng for India (46th) and Mumtaz Khan (55th) scored the goals. The Indians dominated from the very first minute and kept scoring goals.

Vaishnavi scored the first field goal after which Deepika converted the penalty. Annu and Rutuja scored two goals each. India took a four-goal lead in the first quarter itself. Neelam scored in the second quarter. Manju and Toppo scored in the third quarter while Deepika, Annu, Mumtaz and Toppo scored one each in the last quarter. India will face either Japan or Kazakhstan in the semi-finals on Saturday.
