aWhile Afghanistan benefited from getting five points, the result was not favorable for Sri Lanka. His hopes of qualifying directly have now waned. Sri Lanka has only 67 points and is at the 10th position in the table. He has four more matches to play in which he will try to score maximum points and make it to the top eight. These include the third ODI against Afghanistan in Pallikal on Wednesday, in which Sri Lanka will try to get all 10 points. He would also like to win the three-match series by registering a win in this match.
