Madrid. Russia’s 15-year-old Mira Andreeva registered her first win on the WTA Tour, defeating former US Open runner-up Leila Fernandes 6. 3, 6. Made it to the next round of Madrid Open by defeating 4. She became the third youngest player to win a main draw match of a WTA 1000 tournament, behind Coco Gou and Sissy Bellis. Apart from this, she also became the second player under 15 to defeat a player in the top 50. She will now face 13th seed Bia Haddad Maia of Brazil.
