Terrorist attack in Karachi will not affect PSL: PCB chief Najam Sethi

Karachi. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi said Friday evening’s terrorist attack on the Karachi police chief’s office will not affect the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) here. Sethi said the matches would go on as per schedule as presidential level security arrangements have been made for the players and officials since the league started.

He said, “PSL matches will continue as per schedule. All the players are being well taken care of.” Another board official said that the security agencies and the government have also given clearance for PSL matches to continue in Karachi. “Yesterday’s incident has nothing to do with PSL,” he said. Two PSL matches are scheduled to be held at the National Stadium here on Saturday and Sunday. In view of this, security has been increased at the team hotel and match venue.
