Australian veteran Ricky Ponting returned to commentary, was hospitalized due to ill health during live

Perth. Former Australia captain Ricky Ponting returned to the commentary box on the fourth day of the first Test cricket match between Australia and West Indies here on Saturday after recovering from a heart problem. Ponting became unwell at lunch on the third day of the Test match. He had pain in his chest and was feeling dizzy.

 

He was immediately taken to the hospital. Ponting told the media on Saturday on the fourth day of the match that I scared a lot of people yesterday and it was a very scary moment for me myself. He said that I was sitting in the commentary box during the third day’s play when I felt severe chest pain. I tried to overcome it but it could not happen.

 

Ponting’s former teammate and now part of the commentary team, Justin Langer, helped Ponting down the stairs to the Australian team doctor, Leigh Goulding. After this he was taken to the hospital. Ponting said he spent some time in the hospital and had a good night’s sleep.

 

He took this pain seriously as Shane Warne and Rodney Marsh died of heart attacks. “Yesterday was a good learning day for me, especially considering what happened to some of our people over the last 12 to 18 months,” he said.
