English Premier League: Liverpool beat Everton 2-0, Gakpo scored the first goal for the team
Liverpool. Liverpool defeated Everton 2–0 in an English Premier League (EPL) football match at their home ground with goals from veteran Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo. It was Jürgen Klopp’s 250th win as manager of the team. Liverpool, who are going through a bad rhythm, have registered their first win in this calendar year (2023) in EPL.

The team has played eight matches this year in different tournaments and this is only the second win. Cody Gokpo, a 23-year-old Netherlands player who has impressed in the Football World Cup in Karat, scored his first goal for Liverpool in this match. Gokpo joined Liverpool in January. He doubled the team’s lead in the 49th minute of the match. Earlier, Mohamed Salah had given Liverpool the lead in the 36th minute.
