Aims to create research environment through institutions like Atal Innovation Mission: Jitendra Singh

New Delhi| Union Minister Jitendra Singh said on Thursday that the country aims to create a research environment by providing forums and opportunities for collaboration to various stakeholders through institutions like the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) of NITI Aayog.

During an event here at NITI Aayog, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Singh called for taking a holistic approach to ensure creation of new problem solving mindset in the country and promoting entrepreneurship in schools, universities, research institutes. Congratulations to Atal Innovation Mission for creating the environment.

In the same program, Union Minister of State for Statistics and Program Implementation Rao Inderjit Singh said that Atal Innovation Mission has recently completed six years of its establishment.

This complements the government’s vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog said that Atal Tinkering Laboratories is bringing a paradigm shift in school education by inculcating problem-solving mindset.

Whereas Atal Incubation Center is providing a platform to the youth of India to bring about change through innovation. He said that 44 new unicorns (startups with a valuation of over $1 billion) were created during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is a great achievement. During the event, the third edition of the e-book ‘Innovation for You’ with focus on transport and movement was also released.
