Yamuna Expressway will be known as former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, preparations for Yogi government intensify

New Delhi | Yamuna Expressway: Yamuna Expressway connecting seven districts of Uttar Pradesh with the national capital Delhi will now be known after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The Yogi government of UP is going to change the name of Yamuna Expressway to Atal Expressway. December 25 is the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. On this occasion, the Yogi government will rename Yamuna Expressway as Atal Expressway.

According to a senior BJP leader, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is preparing to change the name of Yamuna Expressway to Atal Expressway on Atal Jayanti.

Yamuna Expressway is 165 km long
The Yamuna Expressway directly connects Delhi to Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Let us tell you that the construction of Yamuna Expressway, to be built at a cost of about Rs 128.39 billion, started in 2007 and in the year 2012 this expressway was dedicated to the general public. The length of the 6-lane expressway is about 165 km.

Yamuna Expressway connects many districts
Yamuna Expressway: Yamuna Expressway connects many districts of western Uttar Pradesh including Delhi. This includes Noida Greater, Noida Ghaziabad, Meerut, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Agra. With the construction of this express, people from Delhi to all these districts have got a big relief in traffic.

Purvanchal Expressway in Sultanpur, UP
Let us tell you that recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also inaugurated the Purvanchal Expressway in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh. For emergency landing of fighter jets on this expressway, a 3.2 km strip has been made near Sultanpur district. Purvanchal Expressway has been prepared by UPEDA i.e. Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority for the purpose of landing Purvanchal Expressway airstrip for fighter jets and transport aircraft of Air Force in times of special circumstances or crisis in the country. PM Modi had laid its foundation stone in 2018. A special 3.20 km long runway has also been built on this expressway for the landing of fighter jets and transport aircraft of the Air Force.
