Meerut | Omicron Fear in Meerut: There is an atmosphere of panic in all the countries of the world regarding Omicron and all the countries are alert about it. There has been a high alert regarding Omicron in India. All the passengers coming from abroad are being monitored here. Meanwhile, in Meerut, UP, many people have returned from abroad since the last days. These passengers also include 7 passengers who returned from South Africa. In such a situation, a total of 209 passengers have come from outside in Meerut so far. The administration is engaged in conducting corona investigation of all these people. If a passenger is found infected with corona during the investigation, then his genome scavenging will be done.

Omicron Fear in Meerut: A large number of travelers from many countries have returned to Meerut in the past. In which special surveillance is being kept on passengers coming from South Africa, Botswana and Hong Kong. Let us tell you that the new variant of the corona virus, Omicron, has first emerged from South Africa. After which it has rapidly knocked in 15 countries of the world.

Preparations in full swing to compete with Omicron
According to Meerut’s Divisional Surveillance Officer Dr Ashok Talian, the administration is fully prepared regarding Omicron and separate wards have also been made in Meerut Medical College and a private hospital. Also oxygen concentrator oxygen plants are ready. Monitoring committees are on alert mode. If a symptomatic patient is found, then he will have a special investigation. A large number of VTM kits have been procured. Healthcare workers in hospitals and students living in hostels will also be screened. Sampling will also be done at institutions, railway stations and bus stands.
