FIDE Rating Chess Tournament: 12-year-old Ishan holds international master Vikramaditya on par
Mumbai Ishan Tendolkar surprised international master Vikramaditya Kulkarni by a draw in the third round of the All India FIDE Rating chess tournament here on Sunday. Ishan shared the points with Vikramaditya after move 96 playing with the black pieces on the top board. In other matches, second seed Saurabh Kherdekar (ELO rating 2090), third seed Raghav (ELO 2066), fourth seed Arnav Kherdekar (ELO 1722), sixth seed Guru Prakash (ELO 1691) and seventh seed Yohan Boricha (ELO 1639) registered wins.

After the third round, 12 players are jointly on top with three points out of a possible three. Nine players have 2.5 points after them. Six more rounds of play are left in this Rs 3 lakh prize tournament.
