ACC statement came on PCB chief Najam Sethi’s allegation regarding Asia Cup 2023, insulted

The schedule of Asia Cup 2023 to be held in Pakistan was recently shared by Asian Cricket Council President and BCCI Secretary Jay Shah. The Chief of Pakistan Cricket Board, Najam Sethi, expressed his displeasure and attacked Jai Shah regarding this schedule released by Jai Shah. But now the Asian Cricket Council has given such a befitting reply to the PCB Chief on this matter, which has made the PCB proud.

ACC defended
The Asian Cricket Council has responded to the PCB chairman’s social media comments. According to the Asian Cricket Council, the ACC Calendar 2023-24 and Pathway Structure has been announced. According to the ACC, it has come to our knowledge that PCB chairman Najam Sethi has commented on the ACC chairman taking a unilateral decision on finalizing and announcing the calendar year. ACC clarified that it followed established due process.

According to the official statement released by the ACC, the calendar was approved by its Development Committee and Finance and Marketing Committee in its meeting held on December 13, 2022. After being proposed by the committee, the calendar was sent to all the participating members of the Asia Cup, including the Pakistan Board of Control, on 22 December. After this, suggestions came from many boards, but the PCB did not send any consent, comment or amendment to the council. The Council made it clear that the allegations made by PCB Chief Najam Sethi on social media platforms are baseless.
