Asian Cricket Council kept silence on BCCI vs PCB dispute regarding organizing Asia Cup 2023

Asia Cup 2023 is to be held in Pakistan this year. At the same time, the Indian team will not go to Pakistan for this tournament. Now soon the Asian Cricket Council will announce the decision on the schedule of Asia Cup 2023 after meeting with PCB and BCCI officials.
The July 14 deadline to announce the Asia Cup 2023 schedule has passed. But the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has kept silence on this matter till now. After Pakistan and India agreed to play matches on a hybrid model, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is unhappy with the schedule of the cup.

In this tournament, Pakistan has been allotted to play only one match against Nepal at home ground, while there are a total of four matches. At the same time, Sri Lanka has got the responsibility of hosting nine matches of the Asia Cup. At the same time, no comment has come from the Asia Cricket Council on this whole matter so far.

Apart from this, the PCB has also demanded that the Sri Lankan Cricket Board should give the same amount of revenue to the Pakistan Cricket Board this time as the UAE had given to the Board of Control for Cricket in India last year during the hosting of the Asia Cup. The ACC along with the BCCI and PCB is expected to hold a two-day meeting in Dubai to finalize the Asia Cup schedule.

Explain that the hosting of the Asia Cup has been handed over to Pakistan. This time, four matches of the Asia Cup will be held in Pakistan and nine matches will be held in Sri Lanka, including two matches between India and Pakistan. At the same time, Pakistan wants a major share of the revenue received in the match between India and Pakistan to be held in Sri Lanka. According to media reports, it has already been decided that Pakistan as the host nation will only host the Asia Cup matches, while the rest of the events will be held in Sri Lanka. What is important is how much revenue Pakistan gets for hosting the remaining matches in Sri Lanka.

Actually PCB is demanding from ACC that the matches should be redistributed. This is the reason why the schedule of Asia Cup is getting delayed. Most of the matches in this tournament to be held in September have been decided to be held in Sri Lanka. Pakistan has said that there will be heavy rains in Sri Lanka during this tournament, due to which rain can disturb the game. The Pakistan board has also demanded a higher share from Sri Lanka regarding the matches. According to the report, Pakistan Board officials believe that hosting the Asia Cup in Sri Lanka will not fetch much money. This time also the revenue should come as it was received in Dubai last year under the leadership of BCCI.
