Indian U-17 men’s football team ready to take on Getafe

India U-17 men’s football team is all set to take on Getafe CF U-18 team in their fifth warm-up match on Wednesday at the Otero de Herreros in Segovia. The Indian team has been training in Spain for the past few weeks to prepare for the AFC U-17 Asian Cup to be held in Thailand next month. India has been placed in Group D in the Asian Cup. The Indian team will begin their campaign against Vietnam on June 17 and will then take on Uzbekistan (June 20) and Japan (June 23). India will play its matches in Pathum Thani and Bangkok.

India have done well on the tour so far, defeating Atlético de Madrid U-17 (4-1), CD Leganes U-18 (0-2), Atlético de Madrid U-16 (2-1) and Real Madrid U-17. Have played matches against (3-3). The team will now focus on their last two matches of the tour after which the team will prepare for two weeks in Germany. “The boys are very motivated to work hard after the last few matches, especially after the result against Real Madrid.
