Modi appealed for caution

New Delhi. In the last ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program of this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to the people of the country to take extra precautions and be disciplined to avoid the corona virus. In this program broadcast on the radio on Sunday, Prime Minister Modi said that personal vigilance and discipline are the great strength of the country in the fight against the new form of corona virus.

Modi claimed that India has achieved unprecedented success in its vaccination campaign, but due to the new nature of the virus, there is a need to be cautious. Modi said- Our scientists are constantly monitoring this new Omicron form. They are getting new data everyday and action is being taken based on their suggestions. He said- Our collective strength will defeat the corona virus. We have to enter 2022 with this sense of responsibility.

Earlier on Saturday, Prime Minister Modi had announced that a vaccination campaign would be started for adolescents in the age group of 15 to 18 years from January 3 next year. After this, from January 10, health workers and frontline workers and people above 60 years of age suffering from other serious diseases will be given a booster dose on the advice of doctors. In the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program, Modi also referred to Group Captain Varun Singh, who succumbed to his injuries at a military hospital in Bengaluru last week after being critically injured in a helicopter crash near Coonoor in Tamil Nadu.
