First list of SP and allies released

Lucknow. The first list of candidates of the Samajwadi Party, which is giving a direct fight to the ruling BJP in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, has been released. Along with the SP, the names of some candidates of its allies have also been announced. The first list contains the names of 10 candidates of SP and 19 of its ally Rashtriya Lok Dal. Since the first phase of polling is to be held in RLD-dominated western Uttar Pradesh, it has more candidates in the first list. The first phase of polling will be held on February 10.

The list of remaining seats for the first phase and the candidates for the second phase can be released on Friday. The names of the 10 seats for which SP has declared candidates in the first phase are- Nahid Hasan from Kairana, Pankaj Malik from Charthawal, Shahid Manzoor from Kithor, Rafiq Ansari from Meerut, Amarpal Sharma from Sahibabad, Asom Chaudhary from Dhaulana, Salman from Kol. Saeed, Safar Alam from Aligarh, Kunwar Singh Vakil from Agra Cantt and Madhusudan Sharma from Bah.

The names of the candidates of Rashtriya Lok Dal are – Prasanna Choudhary from Shamli, Anil Kumar from Purkaji, Rajpal Singh Saini from Khatauli, Munshi Ram from Nahtaur, Ahmed Hameed from Bahpat, Madan Bhaiya from Loni, Sudesh Sharma from Modinagar, Gajraj Singh from Hapur, Jewar. Avtar Singh Bhadana from Bulandshahr, Haji Yunus from Bulandshahr. Avtar Singh Bhadana has left BJP and joined RLD a day earlier. However, apart from these, the names of other candidates are- Dilnaz Khan from Sayana, Bhagwati Prasad Suryavanshi from Khair, Pradeep Chaudhary from Sadabad, Tejpal Singh from Chhatra, Pritam Singh from Govardhan, Babita Devi from Baldev, Mahesh Kumar Jatav from Agra Dehat, Fatehpur Sikri. Brijesh Chahar from Khairagarh and Rautan Singh from Khairagarh.

Announcing the names of the candidates of the alliance, RLD said- Rashtriya Lok Dal and Samajwadi Party alliance will bring change in Uttar Pradesh. It is worth noting that earlier on Wednesday, the SP had given one seat each to the Trinamool Congress and the NCP. Lalitesh Pati Tripathi from Trinamool Congress from Mirzapur and KK Sharma from NCP have been declared candidates from Anupshahr seat of Bulandshahr. Chandra Prakash Maurya, son of Keshavdev Maurya, the national president of Mahan Dal, which is in alliance with SP, has been fielded from Bilsi seat of Badaun. In this way 32 candidates of SP alliance have been declared.
