Police said the condition of at least two of the injured who were taken to hospitals was serious. Local television broadcast ‘live’ pictures of the stampede by Alianza fans. Dozens of fans were also treated on the field. “It was an avalanche of fans who stormed the gates,” said an anonymous volunteer. Some people are still trapped in the tunnel. Some people managed to reach the stands and then the ground.
