Big relief to Advani, Joshi and Uma Bharti in Babri case, HC dismisses plea against acquittal

The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has dismissed the petition filed against the acquittal of 32 persons, including LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti and Kalyan Singh, in the Ayodhya disputed structure case. Let us tell you that the special CBI court had earlier acquitted all the accused on 30 September 2020. At that time the court had clearly said that there was neither a plan nor any conspiracy to demolish the mosque. Against this decision of the court, a petition was filed in the High Court. The two-judge bench had reserved its decision on October 31.

Now the court has given its decision today. According to the verdict, 32 leaders including LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti, Kalyan Singh have been acquitted today. A bench of Justices Ramesh Sinha and Saroj Yadav dismissed the appeal filed in this case by two Muslim residents of Ayodhya, Haji Mehboob Ahmed and Syed Akhlaq Ahmed, against the decision of a special CBI court in Lucknow to acquit BJP leaders. The petition filed had claimed that the disputed structure which was demolished on 6 December 1992. Both of them are his witnesses.

It was claimed in the petition that his house was also burnt down at that time. In such a situation, he was also a victim of it. It was also alleged by the petitioners that the investigating agency played its part in shielding the accused. Whereas the aggrieved party did not get any help from the state government, police and CBI.
