Hockey India has been awarded the Best Organizer for the successful hosting of the World Cup.

The Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) on Thursday conferred the Best Organizer Award to Hockey India for successfully hosting the FIH Men’s World Cup in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela earlier this year. The award was received by Hockey India Secretary General Bhola Nath Singh during the AHF Congress held at Mungyeong, Korea. The Kalinga Hockey Stadium in Bhubaneswar had earlier hosted the FIH World Cup in 2018 as well but the Birsa Munda Stadium in Rourkela hosted the event for the first time.

He attracted the attention of the people because of his ability to entertain the audience. Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey said in a statement issued here, “We are grateful for this recognition from the Asian Hockey Federation. The World Cup at home has always been special for Hockey India. Our topmost priority was to make it a memorable one for each and every participating team, officials or spectators.” He said, “Our effort is due to the cooperation of Hon’ble Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, all the stakeholders and many people involved in the successful organization of this event. would not have been possible without
