Butler’s learnings are helping in improving the game: Jaiswal

Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has made a stellar start to the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season with 125 runs in three matches at an average of 41.66 and will be eyeing his best ever performance in the T20 league. Jaiswal, along with England veteran Jos Buttler, has given Rajasthan Royals a good start so far. Meanwhile, he is also getting to learn a lot from Butler. Jaiswal did well in the domestic season and he believes that helped him make a strong start in the IPL.

He told PTI, “Definitely playing in different conditions gives me a lot of confidence. I have batted in different conditions many times and that has given me confidence.” Jaiswal said, “Jose bhai always says in the power play that we should have good intentions and cricket shots. I just try to follow them. I am learning a lot from him which is helping me to improve my game.

The young batsman said that the Royals would want to perform like last season when they reached the final. He said, “The best thing is the atmosphere of our team. Everyone knows his role and is trying to follow it. We all have the same goal and we fully support each other to achieve it. We are trying our best to reach the finals this time also.
