Real Madrid came back strongly after trailing by two goals to beat Villarreal 3-2 here on Thursday to make it to the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey football tournament for the second consecutive season. Madrid trailed 0-2 but scored three goals in less than 30 minutes to seal their place in the last eight.

Danny Ceballos, Vinicius Junior and Eder Milishaw scored for the team, while Etienne Kepo and Samuel Chukwue scored for Villarreal. Earlier, with the help of two goals from Robert Lewandowski, Barcelona defeated third division club Ceuta 5–0 to enter the knockouts.
