Bahrain’s Foreign Minister says We are working to support Tunisia

The Bahraini Foreign Minister, Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, said that he expressed to Tunisian President Qais Saeed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s support for him during the recent events in Tunisia.

Al-Zayani added, during his meeting with Tunisian President Qais Saeed, that the Kingdom of Bahrain respects Tunisian internal affairs, indicating that no party has the right to interfere in that.

The Bahraini foreign minister continued, “We are working to support Tunisia to overcome the economic, political and social crises,” stressing that the Kingdom of Bahrain is in full solidarity with Tunisia.

Support continues to Tunisia

International support for Tunisia, especially Al-Arabi, has continued since the recent decisions taken by President Kais Saied, related to freezing parliament, lifting the immunity of parliamentarians, relieving Prime Minister Hicham Al-Mashishi, and assuming executive power with the help of a new prime minister.

The last chapter of this support was through French President Emmanuel Macron’s call with Tunisian President Kais Saied, yesterday, Saturday, where the French President assured his Tunisian counterpart, “France stands by Tunisia and the Tunisian people at this crucial moment, for the sake of its sovereignty and freedom.”
